County Chamber of Commerce Announces Five Finalists
for
the 20th Annual Crystal Apple Award
Hudson,
NY, January 22, 2009 – Columbia County Chamber of Commerce
President, David Colby is pleased to announce the five finalists
for the 20th Annual Crystal Apple Award. The official slate
of nominees for the 20 th annual award includes: A. Colarusso
& Son, The Bank of Greene County, Columbia Land Conservancy,
Ginsberg's Foods, Inc., and The Olana Partnership. The Crystal
Apple Award is presented to a Chamber member business to recognize
an extraordinary contribution to economic progress, community
improvement, and the quality of life in Columbia County during
2008.
After
review of the candidate recommendations by the Chamber's Board
of Directors, the official slate of five nominees was created.
The ballot of official nominees is mailed to the Chamber membership
for voting to determine the recipient of the 20 th Annual
Crystal Apple Award. The prestigious award consists of a stunning
crystal apple from Steuben Glass. The apple symbolizes Columbia
County's simple beauty, agricultural heritage and quality
of life.
The
recipient of the Crystal Apple Award will be announced at
the awards gala on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Lippera's
at the Chatham House. The Gala is the premier Chamber event
in the area and all members of the Chamber are invited to
attend. The event will feature a video presentation of each
of the nominees.
Invitations
and ballots will be mailed to the Chamber membership. Tickets
for the gala are $85 per person or $650 per corporate table
of eight and can be reserved via mail or by contacting the
Chamber at (518) 828-4417 until February 20. Lippera's at
the Chatham House is located at Hudson Ave in Chatham.
