Best in Show 2009 Public Art Project - Sponsorship Deadline Nearing

The Chamber is pleased to annouce the collaboration to bring "Best in Show" 2009 to Columbia County.  The Public Art Display will feature dogs painted by local artists up and down Warren Street.  If you have seen the Cats in Catskill, the Horses in Saratoga or the Sheep in Pittsfield you know how exciting this is for Columbia County.  The display will begin in July and conclude with an Auction and Gala in October.  These Dogs need your help!  All Columbia County businesses are encouraged to participate in this wonderful community project.  Please click here for more information.

Social Media Breakfast Seminar - April 22, 2009
Come join the Chamber for an introduction to "Social Media" at Space 360 in Hudson on Wednesday, April 22.  Registration is from 7:30 am to 8:00 am and seminar is from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.  business owners will learn what it means to be LinkedIn or to Twitter, or how to have a presence on Facebook, YouTube and MySpace.  "Social Media" is a rapidly growing low cost way for business people to network.  Panelists will include local marketing and media professionals who advise clients on traversing the social media for their own businesses. Space 360 is located at 360 Warren Street in Hudson.  The cost of the breakfast is $5.  Reservations are required by April 17th.

SunDog Solar Business After Hours- April 23, 2009
SunDog Solar will host a Business After Hours on Thursday, April 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. SunDog Solar @ Solaqua is a full-service consultation and installation company offering residential and commercial renewable energy systems and services that help consumers improve energy efficiency, reduce energy spending and increase building performance.  Business After Hours' offer excellent networking opportunities for area business people.  All members of the business community are invited to attend this event.  SunDog Solare is located at 343 Route 295 in Chatham.

Women's Networking Luncheon - April 29, 2009

Mt. Washington House will host the Women's Networking Luncheon on Wednesday, April 29 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.  Additional networking wil be available until 2:00 pm.  Networking luncheons provide a great opportunity for area business people to promote their business to other business professionals.   Mt. 20th Annual Golf Tournament - May 18, 2009
Get your golf clubs ready for the 20th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, May 18 at Columbia Golf & Country Club.  Registration and lunch will begin at noon and play begins at 1:00 pm with a shotgun start.  The early bird rate valid through May 8 is $140.  Reservations include golf, cart, lunch, open- bar cocktail hour and dinner.  We will once again have fabulous hole-in-one prize's for this year's tournament and the $50,000 Combo Putt Off.  Twelve lucky golfers will be chosen by raffle for a chance to putt off for the cash.  Reserve early as this is a sellout tournament.  Please click here for more committee information.

Chamber Stats

Columbia Land Conservancy, The Schumacher Society, Hawthorne Valley Farm and Gianni Ortiz are honored to bring Woody Tasch, author of Slow Money, Investing as if Food, Farms and Fertility Mattered and Paolo DiCroce, Executive Director of Slow Food International together for th first time in the United State on Friday, April 24th at Time and Space Limited from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
