Celebrate July 4th

People’s Parade in Kinderhook Village on Saturday, July 4.  Bring yourself and your patriotic spirit.  Decorate your car, stroller, wagon, garden tractor, bike….Anything you can push, pull or ride, decorate it with good old American Pride.  Wear your best red, white and blue.  Not up for marching, bring a chair and relax on the sidelines.  All are welcome.  Parade kicks off at 11:00 am at the Park on Rothermel Lane and ends in the Village Square.  Sponsored by the KBPA.   Visit them at

Declaration of Interdependence @ Hawthorne Valley

Fun for All at High & Mighty

Hootenanny! – Farm Fresh Benefit Dinner

Life Day Event

ClubLife will be holding it’s first Life Day event on Saturday, July 18 from 12:00 – 6:00 pm .  It will be a community wide event where everyone is invited to come and have a good time.  It will take place outdoors, in the ClubLife parking lot.  There will be live music, vendors, food, raffle, spectator weight lifting competition, family fun, and much more.  All local businesses are invited to setup a table.  If you are interested call 518-320-7885.  Come celebrate Life Day with ClubLife.  For more information visit

Catfish Derby

“Leo Lasher” Catfish Derby at Dutchman’s Landing in Catskill on Saturday, July 18.  First Prize is $500 Cash for the longest catfish.  Kids and adults casting contest.  $15 pre-registration at or any branch of The Bank of Greene County or call Brad at 518-755-2155.  Music by DJ Jack Bogarski.

Say Cheese!

Dish Hudson and Olde Hudson are teaming up again on July 18 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.  They will present – Cottage Cheeses – small batch, regional mostly fresh cheese – made to be eaten immediately – not aged.  There will be  special cheeses, beautiful presentation ideas, a local cheesemaker and the expertise of shop keepers Dena Moran and Peg Patterson.  Taste and compare, sip delicious seasonal punch and socialize in the garden at Dish Hudson, 103 Warren Street.  This is a great way to learn about the cheeses that are the best of the Hudson Valley.  Reservations are required.  Proceeds will benefit the new Hudson Area Library. Kids Learn to Golf

Junior Golf Camp with New York Golf Park beginning July 20.  All students will benefit from 16 hours of PGA instruction, games, contests, prizes, a round of golf and a pizza party.  Equipment will be provided for FREE!  Participants will receive a Nike Golf Glove.  Star to Finish Golf Polo to be worn on the golf course.  Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm with lunch included.  $100 per day or $250 for the four day camp.  Bring a friend and save – 2 kids $225 per kid.  3 kids or more $200 per kid.  For more information visit

Farm to Table Benefit Dinner

Attend the Annual Blueberry Festival

16th Annual Blueberry Festival sponsored by the Austerlitz Historical Society to be held Sunday, July 26 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.  This event features early 19th Century craft demonstrations and wares, antiques, live music and entertainment, activities for children, animals, birds of prey, sheep shearing, plus many new, unique and highly talented craft vendors and artisans.  There will be blueberries galore and a blueberry pancake breakfast, in addition to a wide selection of tasty food items and baked goods.  Cost is $6/adult and under 12 are free.  Rain or shine. (Please note that there is additional charge for both adults and children for the pancake breakfast.)
