Credit Scoring and How to Improve Your Credit Profile! – January 15On January 15 at 8:30 am at the Chamber Office we will be starting the New Year off with a discussion of “Credit Scoring and How to Improve Your Credit Profile!” Seminar provided by Laura Staerker at Homestead Funding. Your credit score is the most important three-digit number in your life. Improving your credit can lead to savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars over the life of a mortgage. In addition, a better credit profile can help you with credit card rates, auto loans and help you get that job you wanted. This session will discuss the 12 fundamental differences between Personal & Business Credit. What your credit score mean, what are the determining factors affecting your score, how you can improve your score, and what is Business Credit. Participants will learn an action plan for things you can to maximize your credit profile; simple adjustments to the way accounts are being reported can have a massive impact on your overall credit grade and profile. Leadership Forum Sponsored by the Young Professionals and Leadership Columbia County – January 16 Columbia County Young Professionals and Leadership Columbia County are very excited to be hosting our 3rd annual Leaders Forum on Thursday, January 16, 2013 from 8:30 to 10:00 am at Columbia-Greene Community College in the Saland Forum. The Program will be a panel discussion on leadership with rising stars in our local business community. Tom Crowell, Chatham Brewing; Richard Matacchiero, Taconic; Dr. Eromo, Columbia Memorial Hospital and John Balli, Kinderhook Bank. Brandee Nelson of Crawford & Associates Engineering & Land Surveying will moderate a list of questions in a question and answer format, asking for each panelist to respond to the questions.Now in it’s third year, Columbia County Young Professionals was formed to create an opportunity for young professionals to build important business relationships. Their mission is: connecting, enriching and informing young professionals who live work or play in Columbia County. The forum will be similar to last year and comprised of County Leaders from a variety of sectors. The cost to attend is $10 and includes a continental breakfast. This event celebrates the 10 year anniversary of the Farm Store. Business After Hours’ offer excellent networking opportunities for area business people. All members of the business community are invited to attend this business event. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be offered during the After Hours.
