LEAF Day – April 30

LEAF Connect:  1:15 – 2:15 pm – Attendees will view videos that talk about the latest trends and projects fo rthe the sustainable business and buy local movements.

LEAF Live: 2:30 – 3:30 pm – A panel discussion featuring LEAF Steering Committee members Martin Ping, Mary Ann Davis and Steven Vardin will talk about their LEAF and BALLE experiences and discuss ideas fro growing local independent businesses in Columbia County.

LEAF Tea: 4:00 – 6:00 pm – A tea tasting and networking event will be hosted by Verdigris Tea & Chocolate Bar and davistudio.  There will be optional sign up for networking dinners at local restaurants for those who want to continue their networking experience.

LEAF (Local Economic Alliance for the Future) is a project of Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.  It is a network of local, independent organizations working together for the betterment of each other’s businesses, the community itself, and for the future prosperity of Columbia County, NY.

One of the projects of LEAF is “Shift Your Shopping”.  This is a national initiative seeks to increase public awareness of the community benefits of shopping local.  Look for information in participating locally-owned retailers and consider how you might shift your shopping.

LEAF is a project of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and is a registered chapter of BALLE, the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies.
