Morgen M. Bowers is the founder and owner of Four Corners Legacy Law, a New York estate planning law firm with offices in Chatham and the Albany area. An attorney for more than 20 years, Morgen and her team help individuals and families throughout Columbia County, the Capital Region, Northern Dutchess County, and surrounding Hudson Valley communities navigate estate planning, wills and trusts, incapacity planning, long-term care and Medicaid planning, asset protection, and probate and estate administration.
Morgen believes estate planning should be about much more than preparing legal documents. Her approach is grounded in education, relationships, and helping clients understand their options so they can make informed decisions with confidence. Four Corners Legacy Law takes a holistic approach to planning, looking at each client’s family, assets, concerns, and goals to create a plan designed to work when it is needed most. The firm’s philosophy is simple: create relationships, not transactions, and replace fear and confusion with clarity, trust, and peace of mind.
A Columbia County resident since 2003, Morgen graduated magna cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and began her legal career at the international law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Before founding Four Corners Legacy Law, she was the owner of Bowers & del Peral, PLLC, where her practice included advising entrepreneurs and business owners.
Morgen’s connection to the local business community extends beyond the practice of law. She has owned and operated several businesses, including an alpaca farm, served as a member of the Town of Claverack Agricultural Committee, and volunteered as an interior firefighter, fire police officer, certified first responder, and Board member for Churchtown Fire Company No. 1. Those experiences helped shape her commitment to supporting local businesses and strengthening the communities in which we live and work.
Education has been a consistent theme throughout Morgen’s career. She regularly speaks to community organizations, professional groups, businesses, and the public about estate planning, long-term care planning, and related issues. She believes that making complicated information understandable gives people the confidence to make better decisions for themselves, their families, and their futures.
Morgen joined the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Board because she believes education, workforce development, and a strong local business community are essential to the long-term prosperity of Columbia County.
When she isn’t practicing law or running Four Corners Legacy Law, Morgen enjoys riding her Morgan horse, hiking, and traveling.
