Dine out at the following restaurants on the specified dates and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Food Pantry & Emergency Assistance Programs of Catholic Charities. All proceeds will stay in Columbia & Greene Counties, helping local people with food, heating assistance, and other emergency needs. November 4 dine at Carolina House in Kinderhook, Plaza Diner in Hudson, White Stone Café in Ghent, O’s Eatery in Chatham and Kozel’s Restaurant in Ghent. 9th Annual Fall Auction Event
9th Annual Fall Auction Event in support of Columbia-Greene Community Foundation benefiting the Scholarship Fund at Columbia-Greene Community College on Saturday, November 7. Silent Auction is at 4:30 pm and the Live Auction is at 6:00 pm. Event will take place in the Professional Academic Center at the College. Catered by Chartwells Dining Service. Superhero Fun Run
Railroad Crossfit and The Salvation Army present the Superhero Fun Run on November 7 at the 7th Street Park. Dress as your favorite superhero. 9:30 am registration. 10:00 am race begins. Fee: one new unwrapped toy (toy will be given to a local deserving child through The Salvation Army Christmas distribution). Race finishes at the Chamber of commerce. Post race reception with Batman and friends. Superhero strength test at Railroad Crossfit.
Concerts in the Village
Concerts in the Village, Alexander’s Feast on Sunday, November 8 at 3:00 pm. The Broad Street Chorale and The Broad Street Orchestra. Open Day at Equine Advocates
Equine Advocates 2015 Open Day on Saturday, November 8 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Spend a few hours walking around and meeting 86 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. Most of them have been rescued and now are enjoying their life at the sanctuary. Please feel free to picnic a the pond which is one of the most beautiful spots at the sanctuary. Admission is free.
