Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market
The Farm & Flea is held on Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25-27.  This event is a timeless flea and farmer’s market and part 21st century craft and design fair, showcasing the Hudson Valley’s artisanal talents.  This event is inspired by passionate and talented farmers, collectors and artisans in the Hudson Valley.  Cost to attend is $5.  Basilica is located at 110 S. The Turn of the Scrooge – The Annual Panto at The Ghent Playhouse, November 25-27 and December 2-4 and December 9-11.  Spend time with all the familiar characters – and maybe a few new ones – as The Loons return with their own zany spin on the classic holiday tale, “A Christmas Carol”, with another terrific original British-American Panto.  Great fun for the whole family!  To purchase tickets or for more information on times and other shows, visit

Winter Walk in Hudson – 20th Anniversary!
On Saturday, December 3 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Hudson’s mile-long Warren Street is transformed into a festive boulevard with twinkling lights, brightly decorated shops, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, live reindeer, petting zoo, horse-drawn wagon, carolers, and a legion of characters and performers.  An evening holiday festivities followed by fireworks from Promenade Hill.  For more detailed information visit

Ohashi Seminar
Ohashi Seminar to be held on Sunday, November 13 on lower back pain.  Ohashi will instruct practitioners (Pilates/yoga instructors to acupuncturists to massage therapists to doctors and nurses to chiros and PT’s, all are welcome)  in the assessment and treatment of lower back pain in the morning and share DIY techniques for dealing with lower back pain with the whole group when the public joins you in the afternoon.  Elliott Acupuncture is a co-sponsor of the event.  The event will be held at River Pilates at 876 Columbia Street in Hudson above Columbia Street Dental.  Ohashi is a very experienced teacher and shiatsu practitioner, Andrea Elliott and Ohashi have worked together to create this seminar where he will share his best techniques.  To register or find more information visit

Concert at Camphill Ghent
The Concerts at Camphill Ghent chamber music series continues Nov. 12 at 3:00 p.m. in the Culture Hall at 2542 Route 66 here with “The Supernatural, the Sacred and the Self.”  The concert features cellist Ronald Feldman, pianist Doris Stevenson and violinist Joanna Kurkowicz performing pieces by Beethoven, Bolcom, Brahms and Mendelssohn. Bonnie Mackay Presents “Tree of Treasures”
Bonnie Mackay presents her book, “Tree of Trasures:  A Life in Ornaments”, at the Chatham Bookstore on Friday, November 18, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.  Published by Penguin, the book is a visual memoir told through ornaments by the Malden Bridge resident and former director of creative marketing a the Museum of Modern Art.  A conversation with Thomas Chulack from the bookstore and Q & A follows a brief reading.  Live at the Chatham Bookstore located at 27 Main Street in Chatham.  For more information visit

Opening Reception at Thompson Giroux Gallery

Search for Hidden Turkeys
